Using this blog will be easier to update than the Greenville High website, and Mimi will try to get more information about an online alumni directory and Reunion updates.

The 40th Anniversary Reunion of the Graduating Class of 1962 of Greenville High School in Greenville, SC, was held on August 10, 2002. Scheduled events included a tour of the school at 11:00 a.m., followed by a sandwich luncheon in the school cafeteria. 

The Reunion Party was held at 6:00 p.m. at Hank Brown's Greenville Jet Center in an aircraft hanger at the Greenville Downtown Airport. The free bar was courtesy of class member Hank Brown. Special Entertainment at 7:30 with the local comedy team, "Cafe & Then Some", brought back memories of being a high school student in the 60's. The reunion banquet consisted of barbecue chicken and pork with all the trimmings, including fresh apple and berry cobblers for desert.

The GHS Class of '62 Reunion was a fun event, with lots of people attending. Special thanks to the Reunion Planning Committee for doing such a great job.

I took my digital camera to both parties, and shot a few pictures. I have now assembled them on this web page for you to enjoy. If you attended the reunion, I hope these photos will remind you of the fun we had. If you were unable to attend, we did miss you, and now you can get an idea of what a great party it was.
