A Visit with Bob - Salt Lake City - July 7, 2007A Digital Photo Essay by Ned Flaspoehler
I spent part of every day with Bob, and took him out for lunch on both Saturday and Monday. I very much enjoyed the cheese enchilada meals served at La Frontera Mexican Restaurant. Bob did, too. He cleaned his plate both times! La Frontera Mexican Restaurant Carol and I also took Bob out for ice cream on Sunday afternoon. He did a great job and seemed to enjoy both the visits and the outings. Granite Hills, the nursing home where Bob is staying, is not the best place physically, but the staff are caring and capable. They have been consistently helpful and responsive to me. I still believe that Bob is getting the best care he can and that he would not be significantly better under other circumstances. But it does take a lot of effort negotiating the Health Care System. Click on photos for enlarged view. Then use the BACK button to return to this page.
