A Visit to Salt Lake City, UT - October 2002

I am grateful for the support that my sister-in-law, Carol Flaspoehler, has shown me. She has opened her heart and her home to me on my visits to Salt Lake City to deal with the crisis in Rob's  life. Carol is mother to Brittney, Rob's 15 year old daughter, and her adopted daughters Anastasia from Russia, and Christina from Rumania. I was especially proud when they introduced me around as Uncle Ned from Texas. Carol's mom and dad are Fred and Ruth Chapman, from Nephi, UT.

I especially enjoyed our family outing Sunday morning to attend the regular concert of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for their network TV show. We had a great seat way down front, and the choir sang exquisitely. Their diction is superb, and they perform with a great deal of feeling and expression.

Afterwards, we attended LDS church together in Carol's ward before I had to head back home to Dallas. It was a very enriching experience.
