Robert Anthony Flaspoehler

Robert "Bob" Anthony Flaspoehler, 59, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died after enduring a Traumatic Brain Injury in 2002.

Born in Greenville, S.C. on May 6, 1950, he was the son of Julia Becker Flaspoehler of Greenville and the late Edward Paul Flaspoehler.

He attended Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School and was a graduate of Greenville Senior High, Class of 1969. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, is a daughter Brittney Flaspoehler Jacox (Adam) of Orlando, Fla.; seven sisters, Judy F. Williamson of Asheville, N.C., Mary F. Davis of Jamaica, Lucy F. Brunson (Dan) of Greenville, Betsy F. Farrell (Seamus) of Dublin, Ireland, Barbie F. Francis (Skip) of Greenville, Cathy F. Moman (Greg) of Mauldin, Sue Flaspoehler of Greenville; five brothers, Ned Flaspoehler of Dallas, Texas, Steve Flaspoehler of Greenville, John Flaspoehler (Dee) of Taylors, Don Flaspoehler of Georgetown, S.C. and Rick Flaspoehler (Carole) of Greenville.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Flaspoehler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church Building Fund, 3710 Augusta Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
